Why we’re supporting Wrap Up London

Taking pride in our community is at the heart of everything we do within our business. We hope that this pride shines throughout our branches into the streets of north London. Each year we get together as a collective team to decide which of the local initiatives we’re going to support this year. Over the years we have sponsored and raised money for local football teams, school fetes, and community events. The teams and individuals at Anthony Pepe have taken part in several fundraisers for charity this year including climbing Ben Nevis and of course our ongoing Sales for Schools Initiative, where we donate £200 to your local school upon the successful sale of your home. But the year isn’t over yet so there’s plenty of time for us to raise money and support charities close to our heart

Wrap Up London

If you follow us on Twitter or have liked our Facebook page you will know that over the past few weeks we have been taking part in a very worthy charity, Wrap Up London. The annual campaign is now in its 6th year and this year we chose to take part by asking the residents of north London for their unwanted coats. Donations were collected by our branch in Highbury where staff and locals dug out the coats in the back of their wardrobes or ones that no longer fit to help keep London warm this year. Over 50 coats were collected and taken to the Wrap Up Warm warehouse to be sorted and graded before going on to be donated to the homeless, elderly, refugees, women who have fled domestic violence and children in poverty.

Tim Gray from our Highbury branch was responsible for us taking part in Wrap Up London, we asked Tim why he felt so strongly about this campaign. “We wanted to support wrap up London as they are a London charity and they support a number of vulnerable people throughout winter; these include homeless, the elderly and womens shelters. It is a wonderful feeling knowing that an unused coat would not be sitting in a wardrobe but instead it would be worn and appreciated by somebody in need.

Being an active member of the Highbury community I wanted to assist local residents that needed help and also assist local residents that wanted to help others in their area. By spreading the word in Highbury and Islington station. And by offering a convenient drop off point for donations I got the chance to speak to many Highbury residents and I was overwhelmed by their kindness and generosity with the amount of donations we received!”

What’s next for Anthony Pepe? As Christmas approaches, there are plenty of worthy charities such as Children in Need and Christmas Jumper Day with Save the Children that our teams will be supporting. If you represent a local charity, school or organisation that might benefit from our support, please do not hesitate to contact Charlie Perdios or Ari Theodorou for more details of how we may be able to help you.

Covering the whole of north London our award winning agents are on hand to help whether you’re at the planning stage of selling your home, or you’ve already made your decision to move on from the vicinity of Palmers Green, Highbury or Harringay. For help with the sale or letting of your home, you can pop into your local branch, email a member of our team or call your nearest Anthony Pepe office.
