We often find ourselves talking about tips and advice around the home and these conversations usually start with, “did you know…” so we thought that we would share a few of our favourites with you. Many of our simple tricks involve household items that you’re sure to find around your home, have fun and feel free to pass these on to your family, friends or neighbours.
Did you know that sprinkling baking soda in your shoes will stop them from smelling? But don’t forget to tap it out before you put them back on!
Did you know that chalk absorbs moisture? Dads (and mums) try placing a few pieces of chalk in your toolbox, they will protect your tools from tarnishing.
Did you know that toothpaste can erase stains from wood? If you’ve got a ‘creative’ child this tip will come in very useful.

Did you know that a graphite pencil will stop your zips from getting stuck? We’ve all got one item that just won’t zip up, rub a graphite pencil on the zipper teeth and your problem is solved.

Did you know that walnuts can remove scratches from wooden furniture? Let the nuts natural oils work their way into the wood then simple polish as normal.
