Anthony Pepe’s Ideas for the perfect Valentine’s Date

Can you sense it?  Love is in the air at Anthony Pepe.  As Valentine’s Day approaches we have been discussing our teams Valentines plans as well as sharing some romantic and funny stories from our more memorable Valentines dates.  As estate agents we see people fall in love with their dream homes every day, you could say we play cupid, so this week we are focussing on your heart instead of your home as we aim our cupid’s arrow at your Valentine’s Day plans.  Here are our ideas for the perfect Valentine’s date, ranging from the traditional, and for those of you who are a little more adventurous the alternative!

The traditional dinner date

If you’re planning on wining and dining your date this Valentine’s Day you’ll need to get a table booked at your favourite restaurant before it’s too late.  The popular choice of restaurants amongst our team includes Nissi in Palmers Green and Garufa in Highbury.  Mina, a Senior Sales negotiator at our Palmers Green branch, tells us what he likes most about Nissi, “Like many Greek restaurants, Nissi has a great feel about it and the food is delicious.”  Lettings Manager Martin Arlington lets us in on his dinner date recommendation, “One of my favourite places to eat has to be Garufa. It serves Argentinian cuisine and I highly recommend their steaks, which I like to enjoy with a glass of Malbec, perfect to share with a date.”  Venturing a little further afield Branch Manager Kris White sets the bar high with dinner at Nobu in the heart of Mayfair.  It seems the gentlemen in our office know how to treat a lady in style.

Tradition with a twist

Going out for just food, drinks and dancing can now seem a little boring, if you are looking to impress your date then you can add a twist to these once predictable dates.  Instead of a meal why not take your Valentine to a cooking class, becoming increasingly popular across the UK, cooking classes can be fun and a great wall to ease you into your date.  What’s more, you can have a delicious meal at the end of it, memories are made by experiences and this one would be great for Valentines.

Another tempting alternative is to organise a wine tasting session for you both at the Theatre of Wine in Tufnell Park.  Get to know your date over a few glasses of your new favourite wine, whilst learning a few tips to make you look like a wine connoisseur.  Taking a massive step out of most people’s comfort zone, dance classes are certainly a quirky and unusual date suggestion but you could find your groove at Studio La Danza, which promises to get you hooked.  If your date tells you to bring your dancing shoes you might be in for a fun night!

Daring dates

At Anthony Pepe we pride ourselves in being memorable to our customers, we push the boundaries when it comes to our bold sales initiatives and payment schemes which is why these daring dates are more up our street.  Turning the tables slightly we look at an alternative take on romance, for some of the men in our office and in particular, our Managing Director, Charlies Perdios, their idea of a romantic date might be to go and see their favourite football team play.  Local team Arsenal are playing at home to top of the league Leicester on Sunday 14th February making it a great time to surprise the Gooner in your life.  On a recent office night out our Highbury team went to their local Lucky Voice, if you haven’t heard of it before it’s a karaoke experience that would make a memorable date night.  Dating advice tells us to make someone laugh, and karaoke can certainly do that!  As the drinks start to flow and you loosen up your date will most definitely go home with a smile on their face, and possibly a sore throat!  Concluding as the ultimate memorable and romantic Valentine’s date we head to our neighbours at the Alexandra Palace where you can watch the sunset over central London.  The hike to the top of the hill will be rewarded as you buy your date a drink and head outside to take in the breath-taking views, a clear winner with the ladies in our office.
