We’ve had a taste of summer in North London recently and at Anthony Pepe, we can’t wait for more! The summer solstice has crept upon us and our homes aren’t quite ready yet. So we think now is the perfect time to give your interiors a splash of summer and these are our six favourite seasonal ideas to try:
Bright Bursts
Summer is the season of colour. From flowers to festivals, we are surrounded by different shades and hues of our favourite tones, whether that’s soft pastels or bright bursts of colour. So what better way to welcome summer into your home than refreshing your interiors with a splash of colour? This season, Anthony Pepe’s hottest favourites are delicate fresh greens and pale lemon yellows which will transport your home to the tropics!! Accessorise with bright and bold colours to make a real style statement.
White Wash
If colour isn’t your thing, a whitewash across your interiors will inspire thoughts of coastal villages in the Mediterranean all summer long. Not only will it keep your home cool and fresh, but white reflects all the sunlight, bouncing it around your home. Try picking different off-white shades in different rooms to add subtle tones throughout your home and accentuate with striking accessories in your favourite colours. This timeless look will never go out of style!
Botanical Blooms
If you’ve read our recent blog about houseplants, you’ll know that this is one of the season’s biggest trends. Summer is all about outdoor living, so why not bring it into your home with houseplants in all shapes and sizes to add a botanical twist to your décor? From low-maintenance cacti and succulents to pretty flowering orchids and leafy evergreens, plants add a whole new dimension to your décor, helping your interiors flow seamlessly into your garden for al fresco summer living.
Floaty fabrics
Over the winter, you might have indulged in thick, cosy fabrics to add warmth and layers to your home decor. However, now that summer is here, it’s time to think about swapping the heavy curtains and knitted blankets for lighter, floaty styles, with natural textures and summery patterns that are ideal for a brand new season. Botanical prints are on-trend right now, which will compliment your houseplants perfectly, or perhaps you could splash out on a fun flamingo print to add personality to your interiors.
Adjust your Art
Sunny weather is inspiring for artists, so you’ll find plenty of summer-themed art to add to your home. But if you don’t want to spend big bucks on a creative masterpiece, your holiday snaps on canvas could be the perfect new talking point to adorn your walls and inject some summer vibes into your interiors. From summer sunsets to golden beaches, your new artwork will be unique and full of memories.
Fresh Fruit & Flowers
Exotic fruits and freshly cut flowers are iconic symbols of summer. They’re zesty and vibrant, adding bursts of colour to your home. Not to mention delicious fragrances and flavours too! Summer style your property with a fruity twist or a floral bloom for an interior revamp that’s seasonally fresh.
So whether or not the Great British summer is set to return to North London anytime soon, now is your chance to add some summer style to your interiors so that it feels summery all season long. If you’re redecorating for sale talk to your local branch to see how we can help you sell or let your home this summer.
